Responsibilities of Assistant Manager:
· Meet and greet customers
· Lead and motivate the team on shift
· Set an excellent example to all staff
· Provide excellent customer service
· Positive attitude and willing to learn
· Assist the general manager in the running of the building
· Setting up and closing down of the bar / restaurant area
· Learn menus so you are confident to explain and describe all items on the menu (food and drinks)
· Complete stock rotation
· Work at a fast pace along with the rest of the team, efficiently, effectively and always maintaining a sense of urgency
· Have a good telephone manner and answer any customer queries
· Complete cash up duties
· Opening and locking up the building when required
· Assist the general manager in staff recruitment and training
· Get imaginative and creative with weekly drinks specials
· Maintain a clean, tidy & organised workspace

Essential Criteria for Assistant Manager:
· At least two year’s supervisory experience in a busy bar/restaurant
· Must be flexible to work days, nights & weekends
· Strong work ethic
· Positive can do attitude
· Strong people skills
· Reliable and punctual
· Organised and pro-active
· Able to work well under pressure
· Willing to help other team members
· Good drinks knowledge
Desired Criteria of Assistant Manager:
· Cocktail experience
· Barista experience
· Experience in training team members
· Recruitment & induction experience
